More than 1 million passengers per annum through Queenstown airport. Regular flight disrupts due to bad weather all winter long. Events that require ski's, mountain bikes and snowboards by the truck load but they just can't all fit into an aircraft. More jets than the NZ air force. Customers who party so hard in Queenstown they are left with absolutely zero dollars in the bank a long way from home when the airport shuts the doors at night...
Service at the Queenstown Airport customer help desk is already legendary, the staff there listen, put up with a lot of abuse and smile. They find people a bed, even cash at times. The airport help desk team focused on creating more ways to deal with challenging customer situations. They deserved more tools to help support them in the face of adversity so that the emotions of others could feel like water off a ducks back. They wanted to be inspired to keep on giving Serve - US one more time with feeling. Without it being draining on them personally. A two hour session to support the arrival of the 2013 winter season to say thank you and to celebrate what they DO well.

A customer may not always be right - but they DO have the right. To be heard, to be treated with respect and to challenge us to deliver Serve-Us that meets their needs, wants and expectations. - Lisa
